Hi guys, I'm back after a long hiatus, "serving" my country in the Police Force. Anyway this one was taken in China, at a place called Jiu Zhai Gou. Hope you like it.

EDIT: I have now worked on the whites. I hope they are sufficiently preserved. Couldn't resist making that photo as perfect as it could be...thanks for the encouragement!

The place is beautiful....great composition and details!
Unfortunately the whites lack details on some part of the foreground.

Yes, the whites lack all the detail in fact. Unfortunately I have been very busy, and unable to go on the time-consuming process of masking so as to save the whites.

Absolutely wonderful colour, and the general scene is very beautiful. Love the composition too, i think this works really well. I do agree with Carlos though about the white detail.

tend to agree with Carlos suggestion on whites.. I would still go easy on it to retain more details in it....

natnai... there are a few options you can use to save the highlights... the first is in your raw converter, there should be a slider called "recovery" or similar that is used to recover details from whites, also in photoshop there is a very handy adjustment dialouge called "highlights/shadows" that saves details from shadows and/or highlights without affecting contrast very much, no masking needed.
